ADULT TENNIS COACHING LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS ARE CURRENTLY BEING RUN AT BANDON TENNIS CLUB ON FRIDAY EVENINGS, CLONAKILTY TENNIS CLUB ON WEDNESDY EVENINGS AND ARDFIELD TENNIS CLUB ON THURSDAY EVENINGS FROM JANUARY 2017
Adult Beginner tennis coaching lessons will begin in January 2017. These will be run on a Friday night from 7.30pm to 9pm at Bandon Tennis Club. These lessons will be run under the ITF format of “Tennis Xpress” which are designed for Adult beginners or for those who haven’t picked up a racquet for a while.
No matter what your standard or level of play we have a program to suit you. Whether you are a beginner or even a more advanced player then don’t hesitate to contact us and see what we have on offer. We have programs to cater for individual play or in groups. Here is an example of what we do:
Individual Coaching Program: If you are looking to vastly improve your level at a quick progression then why not avail of our one on one coaching sessions. This program is tailor suited to meet your needs depending upon your standard. We use up to date coaching techniques to improve yours. We employ many drills and exercises to better your proficiency. We look at all areas of your game; physical, technical and Psychological (tactical and strategic). Modern equipment such as ipad video playback can show you exactly where to improve.
Group Program: These programs are designed around group play and social interaction. We cover all the shots of tennis in a fun and dynamic way. Again, we use many drills so that all players remain active throughout the session. This is a great way to meet others of a similar standard and find ready made practice partners. They are usually set on a regular time and day and run for a specific period.
Cardio Tennis: If you just want to get out on court and hit hundreds of tennis balls and improve your fitness then Cardio tennis is the program for you. It’s a very dynamic session of usually one hour all set to music. Another great way to meet people and develop muscle memory in order to improve your technique. Coaching is kept to a minimum but the enjoyment to the max. Why not try out a session to gauge your interest. Cardio classes are run on Monday nights at Clonakilty Tennis Club from 8pm to 9.30pm.
Workshops: These are infrequent programs organised throughout the year to focus on a particular skill set. They are normally longer in length coaching sessions and look to develop your play in an intensive way. They are organised for and run over one day or weekend and are good for players with time constraints who can’t commit to a series of lessons. They are great for students who all have a similar interest in improving a defined skill.
Adult Camps: Normally run in the holidays (Summer, Easter or Christmas) when people have a little more time. Generally organised for every evening over the course of a week. These are useful for players who can take a lot of instruction during a week long course. We usually start on a Monday evening and finish with a tournament on a Friday, though some courses may differ. They are fun and again we get to meet many others in a relaxed environment.
